Purchasing a Property

Here are the basic steps we take every buyer through to ensure they receive the ideal property.

The First Steps

  • Get pre-qualified for a loan

    • Before we begin going over properties we require the buyer to be pre-qualified for a loan. This ensures the listings we present are tailored to the client's resources.

  • Set your priorities

    • We ask that the client helps us by coming in with a good idea of what they want.

  • Come see us

    • Set up an appointment and we'll starting finding listings relevant to the client's interests.

Finding the Perfect Place

At the appointment Elmer Realty Associates presents the client with a list of various properties that fit their criteria. At this time we recommend the client drive by the properties that interest them to evaluate the location.

If applicable, Elmer Realty Associates will schedule a walk through of the properties that interest the client. The client then makes an offer of purchase and we enter negotiations on their behalf.

The Final Steps

  • The purchase agreement

    • After negotiations go through, the client will receive a purchase agreement.

  • Get the loan

    • The client returns to their lender with the purchase agreement to work out the details of the loan.

  • Closing

    • Elmer Realty Associates will work with the client on the final closing details and recommend the client contacts an attorney to evaluate all closing documents.

  • Inspection

    • Elmer Realty Associates will set up a property inspection to ensure the quality of the property.
